Spotted Pardalotes
30 x 40 cm Oil on Board For Sale
On one of my walks recently I noticed some fluttering in the distance. As I moved closer, I saw flashes of an orange colour and then, as I moved even closer, I saw spots on the birds. Being careful not to disturb them, I sat close by and watched them fussing about a hole in the embankment. The male had nesting material and the female went into the hole. Over the next couple of weeks I watched them. On About the third week, I noticed that the ground around the hole had been disturbed. I’m praying that they were able to move on and find a safer nesting site.
